Slag Cement (CEM III/B 42,5 N-LH/SR)

Due to increased demand for low-carbon concrete in Class Extreme, we have imported Slag cement (CEM III/B) from Heidelberg Materials Nederland. We have not yet documented extended conditions of use - the cement has conditions of use according to NS-EN 206+NA.

ASR durability testing started in August 2024, and the conditions of use are expected to be ready in August 2025.
All documentation is currently only available in English.

When preparing an EPD for concrete with CEM III/B binder, the concrete producer must include boat transport from IJmuiden in the Netherlands to Sjursøya in Oslo of 983 km, and also car transport from Sjursøya to the production site.
Contact HM Sement R&D for recommendations on proportioning concrete with this cement, which has a lower water requirement than other binders on the Norwegian market.
